But you're only an elementary school...
Those were the words uttered by many when the idea of starting a musical Drama Club was suggested as an after school program. But since 2014, North Stonington Elementary School has been performing Broadway-style shows each year in the Spring, preceded, of course, by months and months of hard work.
Our Drama Club is a devoted community made up of enthusiastic students, school staff, fundraising volunteers, and parents who work tirelessly to enable our small school in rural Connecticut to perform entertaining and familiar productions. HOLIDAY RADIO SHOW
In December, seven members of our Drama Club took on the challenge of reading for an old timey radio show, Auntie Scrooge, A BACKWARDS Christmas Carol. It was a wonderful success and a lot of fun! Congratulations to Aidan Boscoe, Maya Dessaules, Jayda Johnson, Luke Noonan, Chazzy Osborn, Molly Perkins, and Eloise Post for their incredible radio-style performances. Extra special thanks to Mr. Michael Noonan for providing the intro music, and Monika Kerby for donating her amazing editing skills.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND, JR PREMIERE!
FRIDAY, AUGUST 20TH AT 6 PM.
NORTH STONINGTON PARKS & REC
Join us for the premiere of Alice in Wonderland, Jr. starring the cast of the NSES Drama Club. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy watching our play-made-into-a-movie, an event nearly 2 years in the making. Hosted by the NS Parks & Rec and the gracious drive-in set up by the Mastroiannis, the evening will begin with Alice in Wonderland themed games and activities, followed by the premiere of our movie.
